Almar’\u00e0<\/strong> is an orchestra of Arab and Mediterranean women born in 2017 between Florence and Rome thanks to the collaboration between Fabbrica Europa Foundation<\/strong> and the Tunisian socio-cultural center Dar Tounsi<\/strong>, and with the artistic coordination of Ziad Trabelsi<\/strong> of the Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio. Almar’\u00e0, which in Arabic means “woman”, brings together women and girls from the most diverse backgrounds – professional and non-professional musicians, students, rappers, classical musicians, modern singers – in an all-female polyphony<\/strong> that wants to be a flag of freedom against any form of violence, extremism and closure. Almar\u2019\u00e0 is above all a journey into music and at the same time an opportunity to potray an Italy that exists but is often hidden in individual experiences, therefore lacking a collective and complex representation. The Chartage Mosaik association gives voice to the need to work on a multiplicity of images and stories that refer to the complex Arab female world in Italy. The project was launched in Florence, where it has been possible to create deep connections with the communities, and it reached other.<\/p>\n

Pianoterra Foundation supports the Almar’\u00e0 project<\/strong> in the belief that music – and art in general – is among the most powerful tools not only to facilitate the spread of a strong message, but also to sow the seeds of a change of perspective both in those who practice it and in those who listen to it.<\/p>\n<\/div>
